Christmas is just a couple of weeks away! I love buying gifts for others and coming up with a perfect gift. Some people are easier to shop for than others. 🙂 So I put together this LDS Christmas Gift Guide full of unique products to help give you some ideas if you’re still looking for those perfect LDS gifts.
Over the past few months I have come across some amazing LDS companies that have products that are perfect for Mormons. I wanted to create this gift guide because many of these companies I was unaware of before and they have great products that you need to know about. I’ve listed Christmas gifts that are great for all ages. There’s something for everyone!
Kids LDS Gifts
Baby Nephi – Christmas songs for baby
My kids love primary songs, but honestly, my voice is not amazing. Haha! So listening to music would probably be the best option. My kids love to listen to Christmas music and always ask to listen to it in the car and have me sing them songs before bed. My 2 year old wants me to sing song after song after song. I know a much better option would be to listen to baby style music to help him fall asleep. Baby Nephi is just what I need and if you’re like me, then you need it to. What better way for your baby to fall asleep than to sweet Christmas songs. You can check out Baby Nephi on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, Tidal, (everywhere where music is sold).
Bible Origami
What kid doesn’t like origami? There is nothing cooler than creating an object out of paper. If your kids like to make things, they will love this book! This is the perfect gift for your kids to create New and Old Testament pictures during church or on Sunday afternoons. They will be able to make things like Noah’s ark, an oil lamp, or Joseph’s coat. These are also great to help talk about the Bible stories that go along with them. Bible Origami is great because it’s educational and creative!
Temple Cards
We got these temple cards a few months ago and my kids love them! They love looking through the beautiful pictures and asking me where they are. I love reading the interesting facts on the back as well. These cards got us thinking about seeing if we could maybe get to all of them someday. It would take a while, but how amazing would that be? This is a great stocking stuffer for any kid! And don’t forget to check out my post on The Best Sunday Activities for LDS Families for more Sunday fun.
Scripture Stackers
I have a Little People Nativity set that I keep on our coffee table for the kids to play with because all other nativity sets are off limits. Another great nativity for your kids to play with is this one by Scripture Stackers. They also have a Nephi set which would be great for FHE or Sunday play. These lego figures are a fun way to play and learn.
Who Wants to be a Celestial Heir
If your kids like board games, they are going to love Who Wants to Be a Celestial Heir – Book of Mormon Edition. It’s a fun game where you answer trivia questions about the Book of Mormon in order to be the first to reach the Celestial Kingdom. It comes with TONS of trivia cards and allows you to use 3 life lines in order to work your way through the different sets of questions – similar to Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. It’s a fun game to see how much detail you can remember from the stories in the Book of Mormon. I love that it has slightly different rules for playing with younger children so it isn’t as difficult for them to make it to the top tier. I love that it’s 3-D as well – it adds a little something different to the traditional board game. If you’re looking for more fun family games to play, check out my post on 10 Winter Family Fun Night Ideas.
Adult LDS Gifts
Temple Shadowbox
This can actually be for a child or an adult. These beautiful temple shadow boxes by Kathryn Poduska at Shadowcast Frames are so unique! We got the Chicago Temple made for our kids to use as a night light since that’s our temple district. I love that my girls can see the image of the temple as they fall asleep each night. This can also be a great decorative item for any home. These hand crafted temples are so intricate and you can request the temple you want! And they’re on sale right now! It’s been suggested that we put a picture of the temple in every room and if you don’t yet, start with this one!
Saints at Devil’s Gate
This book is perfect for the person in your life who loves pioneer history. These 52 beautiful contemporary paintings are accompanied with real quotes and thoughts of pioneers as they crossed the plains to get to the Salt Lake Valley. I love that they chose quotes that are realistic and honest about the journey. One quote said they couldn’t write anymore because the mosquitos were driving them mad. Another talked about how her husband wrote their family names on a rock. There were many miraculous things that happened on the journey to Utah, but I love that this also shows the day to day and helps you imagine what it would have been like to walk with them. This is a treasure to have in your home and to be able to share it with family and friends.
There is also an exhibition at the Church History Museum right now with the same title. This book is a great way to connect with the pioneers and see how their experiences are relevant to each of us today. You can purchase it through the gift shop at the Church History Museum or online through the Church Distribution Services or on Amazon.
RTK Belt
My husband absolutely loves his Railtek Belt! The slide design is perfect for fitting any waist size and it is oh so classy. These are great for Sunday outfits, missionaries, and day to day wear. If you’re looking for a classy accessory gift, this is just what you need! You can see my review of it here.
Temple Art
My sister-in-law Michelle is a great artist and paints unique temple pictures. We have the Bountiful Temple art hanging in our living room and we get compliments on it all the time! Michelle has a variety of temple pictures you can print in her etsy shop and you can request a temple that isn’t there yet. I love how bright and beautiful her paintings are!
The Christ-Centered Home
I love a good book and I love adding to my library. The Christ-Centered Home by Emily Belle Freeman is such a great and interesting read. I learned so much and it’s short enough that it’s not overwhelming to implement her ideas. In The Christ-Centered Home, Emily walks you through the different homes that Christ taught in throughout the New Testament. She asks questions, shares ways to share the ideas with your family, and even shares a treat to make too! Click here if you want to read a more lengthy review on the book.
Salt Lake Temple Ornament
I love getting a few new ornaments to put on the tree each year and I love the ornaments that are Christ-centered. I have a wooden manger scene that is one of my favorite ornaments. Another great ornament are these temple ornaments found at The LDS Store. These would make a great stocking stuffer or you could even tie it on top of a gift and put one of the temple art pieces mentioned above inside! Temple themed LDS gifts! Perfect. Done. You’re welcome.
Well those are the 12 unique LDS gifts I found. I hope you found something that fits your family member or friend. These are all pretty awesome! And with it being the holidays, I noticed that most of these items are on sale. So get shopping and Merry Christmas!
