This is a sponsored post. But we love these night games for kids and wanted to share them with you!
The days are getting longer and warmer. School is just about over which means bed times are a little more flexible. At least in our house, but don’t get too crazy! Mom still needs some alone time at night! But on the weekends we let our kids stay up a little later. And while our go to is popcorn and a movie, during the summer we like to spend more time outdoors roasting marshmallows and playing night games.
Glow in the Dark Capture the Flag
One of our new favorite games is Capture the Flag REDUX by Starlux games. Capture the Flag is so fun because all the pieces glow in the dark for a perfect night game! My kids were so excited when this package came to our door. I had to hold onto it for a few weeks because it was still a bit cold and rainy (and sometimes snowy) in Utah, and they would ask me every weekend if we could play. When it was finally the night, they were thrilled!
This night game for kids comes with 10 light up bracelets to create 2 teams, 2 glow in the dark stones (the flag), and smaller glowing stones to create the jail and boundary lines. We divided our yard and our family (boys against girls, naturally) and hid the stones.
Our youngest is 4 years old and he had a little bit of a hard time with the rules, but our kids 6 and up did great. We played a couple of rounds, switched up the teams a time or two, and worked up a sweat running around the yard. The kids loved it and can’t wait to play again! We loved Capture the Flag it with our family and can’t wait to play it with the neighborhood kids as well.
Starlux has other great award winning glow in the dark night games for kids like Glow Battle, Wizards and Werewolves, and a light up pool kit. These are the perfect games for the warm summer nights and to get kids off screens and out playing! You can find these games at Amazon, the Starlux Games website, or if you live in Utah, you can also find them at the Clark Planetarium.
