Father’s Day is coming up and it’s one of the hardest gift giving holidays for me because I never know what to get my husband, dad, or father-in-law. Why? Because they never want anything! Well I’m sure they want something, but they don’t tell me or can’t remember. I was just asking my husband Alan if he would like a meat thermometer for BBQing because he’s starting to get into that. He just said sure. Well, is that what he really wanted? So I asked him what Father’s Day gifts he wanted and he said he had thought of something the other day, but couldn’t remember. So the BBQ thermometer would be fine… Ugh, men.
I try to notice things that my husband likes and might like and keep a list on my phone to remind me on Father’s Day, Christmas, and his birthday. But I usually end up telling him what I’m getting him anyway because he HATES surprises. If I say I got him something, but won’t tell him what it is, he cannot stand it. He has to know! I’m totally the opposite. I LOVE surprises! So I won’t even try to ask what Alan is getting me because he just ends up telling me because he’s so excited. Alan and I are super similar, but that is one very different thing between the two of us.
So, what do you get dad for Father’s Day gifts?
I have been taking notice of a few things and writing them down and hopefully it will help you think of some things that your dad, husband, Father-in-law, or special man in your life might want as Father’s Day gifts.
For the Classy Dad
Railtek Belt
My husband was in need of a new belt and has always been a fan of the ones that don’t have holes. Which I think is genius, by the way. That way you never have to be in between sizes, your belt will fit you just right! We got a Railtek Belt and it is awesome! It comes extra long so anyone can use it. All you have to do is cut the leather down so it is closer to your waist size and then the buckle slides on.
My husband LOVES his belt! It’s classy and durable. It’s perfect to wear to church on Sundays, to work, or causal Saturday outings. He can wear it for any occasion and it fits him just right because there aren’t any holes.
There are 4 belt buckle designs and most of them have a few leather color options. My husband loves the simple design of the brushed steel. He’s wearing it here in our newest family photo. Doesn’t it look great?! SO CLASSY!
We got all 4 kids looking and 3 out of 4 mostly smiling, so we call this picture a win!
They are a great price and there’s a Father’s Day sale going on right now! Just enter the code: RAIL4DAD to get 15% off your purchase. You have all the way until Father’s Day to get the discount – which is this Sunday! So act now! This is a great gift to add a little style to your husband’s wardrobe while also giving him something that will last.
For the Nerdy Dad
I saw this on Pinterest and thought it was awesome! It’s a stackable tetris LED lamp. How fun would that be on dad’s office desk?
For the Hungry Dad
Have you ever heard of bacon of the month clubs? I haven’t! Subscriptions are all the rage right now, why not get monthly bacon sent to your dad? Because all men love bacon. And they’re having a sale for Father’s Day.
For the Minimalist Dad
My husband hates large wallets. He wants something small that he won’t feel when he sits down. He had a great wallet for a while that is ready to retire. I just found this slim wallet for a great price (minimalist wallets can be expensive!) on Amazon.
For the Sweet Toothed Dad
And of course I have to share my favorite Fathers Day shirt cake. If you don’t have the funds to buy something (I totally get that, lots of frugal living here too), then make your husband or dad this awesome shirt cake! It’s super easy to do and decorate. You can find my original post here.
My husband loves food, technology, and classy, simple accessories. Any of the things I listed would be a win for Father’s Day. I hope that helps with your gift ideas this year. And don’t forget to check out those Railtek belts. They really are awesome!
Happy Father’s Day!
